CRACKED BOLOS
Cracked Bolos is a project by Pedro Brito (30, Lisbon) created during the lockdowns of the pandemic in 2020. Pedro has a bachelor in Visual Arts and also makes music.
Each cake design is customised for the client who chooses an inspiration theme.
The results of Cracked Bolos are very varied and use plenty of unusual elements, within a language of its own.
With his cakes Pedro wishes to play on the boundaries of what is food and what is an art object, with a focus on humour, kitsch and the fantastic.
Cracked Bolos has gained a worldwide following and received some mentions as well as editorials on publications like Vogue Portugal, Metal Magazine, Time Out, Art Magazine, Ginza Magazine, Tokyo Weekender, La Vanguardia, and The Face.
