WHY BE×RADD LOUNGE 콜라보 아이템의 판매에 따라 베를린과 코펜하겐을 거점으로 하는 프로듀서 DJ의 WHY BE에 독점 인터뷰를 관행! 아티스트 이름의 유래나 아시안으로서의 정체성에 대해서 등 일본 팬들에게 메시지와 함께 말해주었다.
■ 곧, Mukbang Soundsystem라는 명의로 릴리스 할 수 있으면 좋겠다.

ー 우선, 당신의 이름(WHY BE, DJ Yung Bukkake, 900kjuke 등)의 유래, 생생한 것을 가르쳐 주세요.
Can you tell us about the origins of your names(Why Be, DJ Yung Bukkake, 900kjuke)? Also, can you tell us about yourself?
"Yung Bukkake는 당초 제가 사용했던 명의 중 하나입니다. 이것은 내가 인터넷에서 모든 방면에서 비판되고 있다고 느끼기 쉽다는 것을 표현한 것이지만 정말 끔찍하네요. 900juke 는 "gook juke"의 표기를 조금 바꾼 것. "gook juke"라고 하는 것은, 내가 처음 무렵에 만들고 있던 음악에 스스로 붙인 이름으로, 풋워크 같은 드럼에 한국의 포크 뮤직을 샘플링한 것이었다. WHY BE는 단순히 Young Bukkake의 머리글자를 취한 것이야. "

yung bukkake was one of the first names i used. really dumb gross way to explain how i easily felt hosed down from every angle by the internet. 900kjuke is another way of writing 'gook juke' which i named some made. it was footwork styled drum patterns with korean folk music samples. Why Be simply comes from spelling out the YB initials since i thought that name (yung bukkake) sounded too stupid at some point. hopefully i'll bereleing Soundsystem 'soon.'

""snipestreet"는, 자신 자신 준비가 되었다고 느끼고 있었던 것, 그리고 Rabit에 그 타이밍으로 릴리스 해 주었으면 한다고 말해져 있는 것으로 제작했다. 릴리스로부터 일년이 지나, 정말 많은 친구가 멋진 에디트나 리믹스를 해 주고 있었기 때문에, "notypestreet"의 릴리스는 자연스러운 결과였다.

'snipestreet' happened due to a) me feeling ready for the first time in 8 yrs b) rabit asked me to do it at exactly at that point of my life. about 1 year after the release so many friends had done amazing beauti /remixes so 'notypestreet' was a natural result of that.'

- 당신이 Co-Op의 컴파일을 위해 제작한 "Doom Bells"는 개인적으로 모스키트 소리를 방불케 하는 것이었습니다. 이것에 무언가 의미가 있습니까?
”Doom Bells”, which you made for Co-Op Compilation, reminded me of mosquito sound. Is there a meaning behind it?
「특히 의미는 없을까. 하지만, 내가 만들어 온 트럭 중에서는 불안을 부추기는 곡으로, 이 컴필레이션의 테마에 맞고 있다고 생각한다. 이런 테마에 따라 만들면, 자연과 이런 소리가 된다 아니야."

"not really. but it's def one of the more uncomfortable tracks i've made and it fit in quite well with the compilations theme. like, pay for this cause or everything will sound and feel like this."

i think it's amazing that ppl get together and form their own world order but i personally feel like i'm scattered all over the place. my diaspora doesn't exist but the closest i'll get is probably what we did with ' City' (with Lexxi, Rabit, Chino Amobi & Elysia Crampton). being asian meant more to me when i was younger. i would draw alot on references (that i essentially didn't understand cause i was raised by danish parents) in a search of finding out who i was. then i realized that neither denmark or korea was ever gonna give me the feeling i was looking for so i stopped trying to be something already pre-measured and just tried to exist."
