KIM LAUGHTON

Kim Laughton is a digital artist from the UK. After spending 13 years in Shanghai, he moved his base of operations to Tokyo in 2022. He focuses on realistic CG using game engines in digital art, and has exhibited his work at the X MUSEUM in Beijing and the Carnegie Museum in the US. In addition to video works, he creates a wide range of pieces, including 3D-printed sculptures, interior design, and apparel production. In Shanghai's rapidly evolving club scene, he was an early pioneer as a VJ (a visual artist who synchronizes visuals with music), and has collaborated with music labels such as Hyperdub, PC Music, and Fade to Mind, as well as artist mechatok, to expand the artistic world through both visual and auditory means.
