VETEMENTS was founded by the Gvasalia brothers, along with Laura Beham and Callum Pidgeon, two members of the original VETEMENTS design team. Upcycling projects launched in 2021

In SS23, the brand will present its first runway show at Paris Fashion Week.

Prototypes bring out hidden potential. Rather than producing new clothing, the company's approach focuses on upcycling and reuse strategies, and has developed three lines that weave together the concept of the Second Life Line, Proto Packs, and Proto Prints. The main line uses deadstock clothing and fabrics, promoting a sustainable attitude towards making and wearing fashion.

Prototypes takes its brand name seriously, highlighting personal expression and creating one-of-a-kind pieces that replace standard mass-produced knock-offs. No two pieces are alike, and that's the idea.
