[Interview] The source of BARRAGÁN's creativity

■ Since I was a child, I think I watched a lot of fashion-related television and American sitcoms.
- First of all, please tell us about your upbringing.
Can you tell us about yourself?
"My name is Victor and I'm from Mexico City, but I'm based in New York now. My main work is art direction and photography for my brand BARRAGÁN ."

ー When did you first become interested in fashion?
When did you get interested in fashion?
"I think I watched a lot of fashion TV and American sitcoms when I was a kid. I was studying industrial design, but after the first semester I decided to quit and focus on my own project called ytinifninfinity. I made it to

What do you keep in mind when you are making pieces of your collection?
“Basically, I try to create strong, bold things that play freely with the things around them.”

ー What is the difference between ytinifninfinity and BARRAGÁN?
You work with people like Étienne Saint-What's the difference between ytinifninfinity and BARRAGÁN?
ytinifninfinity was the brand's next-level experience and practice, focused on the new fashions and ideas of the moment. BARRAGÁN expresses pure ideas and ytinifninfinity is my personal mood board with the accompanying B-side.

■ Living here is very exciting and difficult at the same time.
- You are based in New York, what kind of city is New York to you?
You are based in New York. What does the city mean to you?
"Me and my friends feel like this is Disneyland for grown-ups. There's always something going on. People are always running errands, working, sleeping late at night. Living here. It's very exciting to do, but it's also difficult at the same time."

ー Please tell us about your relationship with NAAFI.
How do you and NAAFI relate to each other?
“We are friends from the same Mexico City, we work together and collaborate. We have a lot of similar inspirations coming from Mexico.”

ーDo you have any interests other than fashion?
What are your interests apart from fashion?
"Performance, contemporary art, photography, whatever the creative expression."

ー Are you interested in music? What, if any, are you interested in?
Do you have an interest in music?
"I like many genres. Trap, house, rap, R&B, jazz, punk, etc. I don't stick to anything. As long as I can dance, I'm happy."

"I honestly like so many different things. I like music of any kind trap, house, rap, r&b, jazz, punk...etc i don't close myself if something make me dance or move im happy with that."
